Imagine how wonderful it would be to not only be taught the secrets of making glass blown ornaments, but to actually be coached to do it yourself! I was lucky enough to get the chance to do both this week at Vetro, Glassblowing Studio & Gallery in Grapevine Texas!
Vetro offers patrons the chance to get up close and personal with the glassblowing process, and this is especially true when you take advantage of the Extreme Ornament Making experience! My husband and I had a lovely date at Vetro, where we were able to pick from all the glass colors to combine in our one of a kind ornaments.
While ornaments are probably most thought about during the holiday season – these glass globes are truly a piece of art to keep out all year long. They can be suspended in front of windows to pick up the light – or on sheperds hooks to bring color to a desk or display.
Once you pick your colors, a Vetro glass artist will walk you through pressing them to your molten glass, firing the glass, and stretching it to combine colors!
It’s a fascinating process and at the end you have a unique and beautiful memento from the experience!
If you are visiting the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area – this is a MUST do experience! Want a closer look at Vetro? Check out this short video showing you the Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery!
Many thanks to Vetro Glass for the Ornament making experience! All opinions are my own.
