Recently I told you on Facebook and Twitter about a private tour I took, of a local Container Store in Arlington, TX! It was having it’s grand opening – and a few bloggers were invited to drop by and take a look at the beautiful new store! I was already a huge fan of the Container Store – and I saw lot’s of really neat products for organizing, cleaning, storing, wrapping, baking – and more!
(This is The Container Store, located in the Arlington Highlands, Texas)
I thought it would be fun to share some of my Container Store excitement with my readers! So below, you can enter to win some of my favorite unique products found at the Container store! And in the meantime, I thought I’d leave you with some of the pictures I took during the tour. Perhaps they will inspire you. I definitely left feeling really motivated to get organized this spring! In fact I just finished a “Gift Wrap” closet” I will be sharing with you in the coming week!
Special thanks to Olescia Hanson and Nina Smith from The Container Store’s home office who gave us a great tour, and sneak peak of the neat new products coming to The Container Store near you this spring!
(A clothes hanger in every color – literally! I had this picture as me phone screen saver for a while! I just love all the color and possibility!)
(This is what my dream garage looks like inside. This is the opposite of what my actual garage looks like! Someday!)
(I’ve been to lots of The Container Store’s in different locations, but the Arlington store was the first time I saw baking supplies! Super cute decorating and transporting baking solutions!)
And now…..

My favorite tip is to have a place for everything… easy to say – hard to do!
MilkandCuddles says
@Crystal, Crystal- I agree with that 100%! And it IS hard to actually do…but I def notice when something has a specific “home” I am much more likely to put it away! Thanks for entering! Good luck!

I am a big organiser and I love clear plastic boxes with fancy labels so i can see what is in which box
MilkandCuddles says
@Sarah Scott, I love clear boxes too Sarah – that way if I dont label so great I can look through…lol.
Kellie Rose Wilson says
If you don’t use it in a year..donate it!
MilkandCuddles says
@Kellie Rose Wilson, And THAT is advice I NEED! Thanks! You are so right Kellie!

MilkandCuddles says
@Sam @ Sam’s Noggin, I hear ya, until this store opened up- the closest one was a drive we only made a few times a year! Thank goodness for online though!

My favorite tip is to only bring something new home, if you are willing to get rid of something you already have.
MilkandCuddles says
@MissMOE, That is SOOOOO Hard though MissMOE! LOL. I agree its a great rule though, if only I’d do it! 🙂

My favorite organizing tip is to remember that organizing is an everyday affair. It’s not just a one-time thing. It involves continually processing papers, putting things back where they belong, etc.
Elle (@Cleverlychangin) says
My favorite tip is to use baskets for storage containers.
Jessi @ PracticallyFunctional says
Oh my goodness, I LOVE the Container Store. But my husband doesn’t allow me to go there anymore, cuz I buy EVERYTHING!
My favorite organizational tip is to use the back of doors to store stuff. Little 3M hooks can hang jackets, or you can put an old shoe organizer on a closet door to store cleaning supplies etc. It’s totally useable space!

One of my favorite tips is for my daughter. She has long hair and lots of hairbows and ponytail holders. I bought her a cute bin to put all of her hair stuff in! It works perfect. Before this, her hair accessories were everywhere!

Store your groceries like they would at a grocery store. All the things you use most at eye level and above, in straight lines by category.
Dina K. says
My favorite organizational tip would be: work at organizing every single day. When you take something out, put it back in its space etc. If you do a little bit every single day, it will keep things much simpler and easier 🙂
Jill says
I do love The Container Store. But I recently discovered that the Dollar Store has a lot of basic plastic containers for organizing for cheap!
Danielle says
OMG I was just thinking about that squeezy thing this morning. THIS MORNING when I was fighting with my toothpaste I was like ‘why don’t i just own this thing yet’. dumb. I Hope I win!!! 🙂

I may have teared up a little seeing all that organization. It makes my OCD heart sing with joy!

My mom always says that if you put everything where it belongs, all that’s left to do is dusting. 😉
Jamie says
My favorite tip is everything in you own should have a “home” in your house. If it doesn’t have a spot where it belongs, then it probably doesn’t belong in the house.
Donna George says
Ugh, my New Year’s Resolution right there. To get organized. No tips, just problems.
Kerry says
I don’t have any tips, but I welcome all I can get!! 🙂
The Activity Mom says
what a great giveaway! My fav organizing tip is to make size tags to hang in between the sizes of my kids’ clothing. That way I can buy ahead when things are on sale and I know what I have.
Jennifer says
I LOVE the garage picture (of course the colorful hangers too!). Mostly because we just moved into our new house about two weeks ago and have 5 bikes that we are trying to figure out what to do with in the garage. I like the rack for the bike and the whole wall storage rack. I LOVE the Container store – we have one close by at our mall. I go into that store and dream about how I want every organizational tool in the store!
Katherine says
Seriously the container store makes me happy 🙂 SO GLAD I met you through UBP. My favorite organization tip – totally saw on Pinterest. Using Curtain Rings on a hanger to hang your scarves. LOVE it!
Amie Olson says
I like to have bins and baskets for everything. That helps to keep us organized. The curtain ring scarf hangers is a great idea, too!

Use cute baskets with chalkboards to label and sort toys!
Lori says
Ok, my favorite organizational tip…. Lists! I love lists! They help me remember all I need to do and then the pleasure I find by crossing off something I’ve done, sends me to the moon! Hahaha!
Literally, if I didn’t have lists I would never be organized.
Ellen B says
I use small boxes to store items and i would love to be able to buy some baskets – looks nicer
Lynn says
use labels if your storing in boxes and think multifunctional.
Rita Light says
I love the phrase & (try to abide by) “If you haven’t used it in the last year, you don’t need it.” I wish I could get rid of some clutter this way or at least organize it.
Michelle P says
I take pictures of my shoes and tape them to the sides of the boxes – that way, I can stack the boxes of shoes and still know exactly what is where. It frees up so much space!
Jennifer Garza says
Wow! What an awesome giveaway! Thanks for the chance!!!
Karla says
So fun! I love the container store too! I do a quick clean up rooms by taking a laundry basket around with me and putting anything that doesn’t go in that room into the basket. Then if I still have time I sort them and put them in their place or I leave the basket in a place people won’t see until I have time to put it all away later.
Paula says
My favorite tip is “a place for everything, and everything in its place!”
