P.F. Chang’s and our Family Date Night!

Our family recently had the chance to let our inner foodies out at P.F. Chang’s!

Their new menu had dishes adventurous enough for mom and dad, and family friendly enough that our 6 year old was gobbling them up!

These are the dishes we were sampling from the new and delicious menu!

Some of our family date night highlights:

• My preschooler ate her whole meal with training chopsticks – a first for her!
• P.F. Chang’s just introduced hand-rolled sushi for the first time, as well as inventive small plates and handcrafted cocktails! My husband and I are big sushi fans! And eating it always reminds me of when were dating!So I was in heaven.
• I had a Twisted Whiskey Sour to drink – and it knocked my socks off! It was the perfect drink to sit and sip while eating sushi! If you go to P.F. Chang’s anytime soon – you must try it. Seriously. Thank me later.
• They now have traditional, and chocolate fortune cookies at the end of the meal. Yes – chocolate! That was a big hit with the pumpkin!

From the new menu we tried:
Spicy Tuna Roll – Rolled-to-order Sushi-grade Ahi with cucumber, daikon sprouts, sesame-seasoned rice and a dash of sriracha
Cucumber Rolled Kappa Maki – Fresh sushi-grade Ahi tuna, salmon and kani kama rolled with avocado and mango, wrapped in cucumber served with sweet and spicy glaze
Ahi Tartare with Avocado – Diced sushi-grade tuna with cucumbers, scallions, citrus soy sauce and sesame seeds over sliced avocado with crispy wontons
Twisted Whiskey Sour – Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Cointreau, orange juice, honey with blood orange bitters

Our family had a great time bonding and talking about all the new foods we were trying!

The new fresh menu choices are great for sharing family style, and the Asian influence was a style of food our preschooler doesn’t always come in contact with!

I loved getting to introduce my daughter to delicious new tastes! She was game – and I think we may have another foodie in the family!

This place would also be perfect for a girls night out, or romantic night! P.F.
