When I think of the holidays, I think of lots of different things that add to the magic of the season. But more than anything – I think of the music! Nothing puts me more in the mood to celebrate the holidays, than the first few chords of a beloved Christmas Carol. Traditional holiday music can make me laugh and smile, as easily as it can move me to tears. It Reminds me what I wish most for my family this time of year – hope and love.

“Have yourself a merry little Christmas.
Let your heart be light.
From now on your troubles will be out of sight…”

Lately I’ve wondered how can I help to make my families heart be light this year? How do I give less things, and more experiences?

I can give the gift of music, by giving friends and family tickets to Dallas Symphony Orchestra! Music. What could be a more beautiful present for those you love this year?

And The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has made it so easy to share their winter season with all the people in your family! There are so many great holiday themed performances coming up.

For example, I’m excited to take my family to  A John Williams Family Christmas! It’s full of selections from the Harry Potter and Home Alone movies, plus Christmas favorites and many more surprises for a magical start to the holidays! There is even a hot chocolate station! It’s a perfect way to introduce my young daughter to the experience of the symphony.

Kids can dip their toes in, and hear music they already love!

Wondering what other programs the Dallas Symphony Orchestra has going on this holiday and Winter Season?

Here are a few suggestions!
