Can you believe it’s almost labor day? Let’s make the most of what’s left of summer and make some cute drinks to relax around the pool with! These three patriotic drinks fit the bill perfectly!
And with red, white and blue too – labor day perfection!
These three red, white and blue drinks are easy to make!
I suggest the ingredients for these cute and tasty Patriotic cocktails below…
Red Cosmopolitan-
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 oz vodka
- 3/4 oz triple sec
- 3/4 oz cranberry juice
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
DIRECTIONS:
Pour your vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass, and serve. I garnished mine with strawberries & blueberries.
Red White and Blue Layered Cocktail-
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup Fruit Punch Gatorade (Or Cranberry Juice)
- 1 cup Sobe Elixir Pina Colada (or coconut milk)
- 1 cup Blue G2 Gatorade
DIRECTIONS:
This recipe works by starting with the sugariest liquids first. Chill all Ingredients.
Fill your glass quarter of the way full with ice. Fill with cranberry juice (or red Gatorade as I used) 1/3 of the way up. Place in freezer for 30 minutes or until ice layer has formed on red layer! Fill to top of your glass with ice. Gently fill with Sobe pina colada or full fat Coconut milk, by pouring over the back of a cold spoon to 2/3 way up. Place in freezer for another 20 minutes or until ice layer has formed on white layer. Gently fill with blue G2 Gatorade, and pour over the back of a spoon filling glass. Enjoy.
Big Blue Ocean Cocktail-
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 oz. vodka
- 1/2 oz. blue curacao
- 1/3 oz. grapefruit juice
- 1 splash of simple syrup (sugar water)
DIRECTIONS:
Add all your ingredients to a shaker 1/2 filled with ice. Shake, then strain and serve over ice. Garnish with red, white and blue fruit/veggies (I used strawberry, jicima, and blueberries.)
These are very festive and look pretty easy to make. I like the idea of using strawberries and blueberries as a garnish for the Red Cosmopolitan. Drizly is a new concept to me – will check it out!
