I was invited to the VIP Opening night of Fantasy in Sand. All opinions are my own.
Our family loves that the Dallas, Fort Worth area has so many unique attractions within driving distance of anywhere in the Metroplex – and when we heard that Fantasy in Sand was being hosted in Arlington, TX we were in!
What will you See?
3 Million pounds of Sand, in an intricately designed Sand Sculpture display. The scenes wind around in a path that follows the events in classic book by Frank L. Baum. No worries, the sand scene that features the witch is not too scary for little ones – as she is melting. Kids will enjoy reading pages from “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” as they see each scene rendered in Sand, in a 20,000 sq feet air conditioned tent!
What Should you know?
The Sand Sculptures culminate in a beautiful display of Americana, and eventually lead to the world’s largest indoor Sandbox! Kids are welcome to play as parents look on from picnic tables next to a snack and drink bar! Plan to spend some time just relaxing as the kids build sand castles – and remember to dress them in clothes you dont mind getting sandy!
