I’m in the same boat as many of my readers. Coming up with Teen and Tween gift ideas can feel like an impossible task. Choose something that appears “too young” for the tween at hand, and you are likely to be told they are not “a baby anymore!” Gift cards can be a great answer. But it’s also nice to have a physical present, to wrap and be excited about your tween or teen opening.

And that is where this years Tween Gift Ideas come from…

Many of you told me that last years Tween Gift Guide was really helpful for you. So I am creating another list of Tween Gift Ideas for you, all with the hottest toys and gifts of this year in mind! I hope it’s helpful for all you fellow parents of hard to buy for Tweens!

  1. Lycus Faux Fur Bean Bag Chair

This truly JUMBO size poof, is perfect for the long limbs of a tween. An ideal place to curl up and read a book, or watch TV makes this gift practical as well as fun. This bean Bag Chair comes in Lavender, Pastel Pink, Silver Grey, or White. So it’s easy to match it to your teens room!

And because this gift is quite a bit larger than the average holiday present, it makes a huge impact, wrapped and under your tree!

Give your Tween the gift of whimsy and comfort this year!

2. Virtual Reality – Oculus Quest 2

It used to be that you needed to have a very powerful gaming computer, to take advantage of truly cutting edge virtual reality. Not so anymore!

The Oculus Quest 2 is the perfect way to dip your toe into this exciting new world. The high speed processor is in the headset, so you are wire free to explore whatever virtual worlds you choose.

This may be the present I am MOST excited for my tween to open this holiday season! Titles like “Down the Rabbit Hole” are a perfect escape room like adventure for tweens. “Vader” is a must have title for any Star Wars fans, and “The Climb” lets teens and tweens experience the thrill of climbing high mountain peaks while enjoying beautiful scenery below them. All from the safety of your home!

This gift is on the pricier side. But is truly a gift for the whole family.

3. Funko Harry Potter Advent Calendar

Advent Calendars have become all the rage in the last few years. And Harry Potter Fans will love getting to open a new door to this calendar everyday in December.

Open one of the tiny doors each day to reveal which of the 24 Pocket Pops! These Potter collectibles are adorable and fun to discover – one at a time! My tween even asked to buy one for a friend too, so they could open doors together over the holidays.

And with a figure for every day in December, this gift is one that will be savored for a long time!

4. Creatively

( A holiday Art party might be perfect for this time of social distancing!)

Order these fantastic Art Kits individually or as a subscription you receive monthly. Your box will include a canvas, acrylic paints, a smock, palette paper, a sample piece, and step by step instruction for creating the project! Choose to follow step by step written instructions along with photos, or a video tutorial walking you through painting your masterpiece! You could even send identical kits to friends and work together virtually for a holiday art party!

Owner, Marina Mirchevskaya launched Creatively during COVID-19 to help others de-stress and have fun from the comfort of their homes. Her goal is to bring people together through creativity. And by buying from Creatively, you also help to support a small business!

(Kits come with everything you need, and you can choose from lot’s of different paintings!)

6. Classes on Outschool

One of the fun parts of having a tween, is seeing how they start to identify hobbies and passions that are going to follow them into adulthood! A great way to support a new skill or interest you teen or tween may have, is to purchase them a class on that topic – on Outschool.com!

Outschool is an online learning platform with classes you can sign up for in advance, or on the day the class is being held!

My Tween has taken classes on everything from cooking, 3D printing, theatrical makeup techniques – to learning to use her Apple pencil on the Procreate drawing app!

You can search classes by your childs age, interest, or even the day of the week the class is offered!

Sign up here, and get $20 off your first class!

7. Toybox 3D Printer

Install, connect, load a design – and print! That is how easy it is to use this 3D printer perfect for kids just starting to learn about the 3D printing world.

Toybox is the first easy-to-use, one-touch 3D printer for kids to design and print their own toys.  You can design your own toys in the Toybox app or take advantage of Toybox’s enormous toy catalog.

This printer uses kid and parent-friendly non-toxic materials, so you can keep your Toybox anywhere for instant printing fun without any of the mess. Tweens can start drawing and printing their own creations on day one!
