The Dallas Zoo is part Zoo, part party! Education is seamlessly blended with fun – and you can tell by the smiles on passerby’s faces! I’m not sure how I have lived in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area for as long as I have – and never been to this Zoo before. Full of beautiful shady spots to rest, the Dallas Zoo is the perfect day trip.
A trip to the Dallas Zoo can be leisurely, or full of activities. On our most recent trip there, we did a combination of both! The highlight of our trip was feeding the Zoo’s Galapagos Turtles and Giraffes! There are tons of Keeper Encounters & Demonstrations to attend – and we loved getting the inside scoop on the animals we were seeing.
But we also took our time meandering down all the picturesque little pathways.
I love how the Dallas Zoo feels like stepping into a “Choose your own Adventure” book! See a path, and choose to go right or left! There are bound to be beautiful animals and experiences no matter which way you walk. I also love that the Zoo allows outside food and drink, and plenty of spots for a picnic.
We ate on premises and enjoyed a booth with a charming view – close by Golden Tiger Monkeys for entertainment! The Dallas Zoo has welcomed more than a million visitors in the last year! And yet – you can still find so many intimate spaces to commune with nature!
