As the summer winds down into fall, I wanted to share with you the best part of our families summer – a trip to Colorado! We knew we wanted to drive from Texas to Colorado, and we needed a vehicle that could haul all the hiking/fishing equipment we planned to bring. We also needed a vehicle that could handle the ever changing weather and environments in Colorado, and the National Park System there. The Chevy Tahoe was beyond perfect. Comfortable, great looking sculpted body panels, plenty of room, lot’s of entertainment options, and most importantly a great ride!
Also, the Chevy Tahoe cannot take a bad picture. Exhibit A below.
Some of the standout features for us, on the 2016 Chevy Tahoe were:
Ability to Haul luggage – We loved having lots of different configurations for storing luggage. Put the 2nd and 3rd row of seats down for a huge expanse of space! Or, just put down the 3rd row – that configuration handily stored 10 plus pieces of luggage for us!
Tahoe’s Wi-Fi capability – What can be better than built in 4G LTE Wi-fi? As we traveled to our destination I was able to check email and work, because the Chevy Tahoe was our own hot spot!
Maps on Apple CarPlay – We relied on this feature heavily during the trip. I especially loved when it would let us know about construction or delays ahead – and suggest a new route for faster arrival!
We took the Chevy Tahoe up on the world famous Trail Ridge Road, in Rocky Mountain National Park. And in Arctic tundra consitions we were always comfortable and warm inside the cabin with the seat warmers going. When we went back to sea level and the summer heat kicked in? Seat COOLERS!
I loved how safe we felt in the Chevy Tahoe as well. The Chevy Tahoe was equipped with OnStar, and automatic crash response, 24/7 crisis assist, turn by turn navigation, roadside assistance and more!
And the worst part of a road trip is car boredom, right? Not in this fully equipped Chevy Tahoe! There are outlets everywhere, and the wifi meant we could all use any device we wanted from home. The entertainment system in the car came with fold down tv monitors and a remote. Music, movies, and devices – oh my! We were set!
The Apple CarPlay connected to my smart phone using the Chevy MyLink as soon as I got into the vehicle! Super convenient!
We could not get over how well the Chevy Tahoe performed on our road trip. It’s truly our families dream vehicle!
