Day Trip To: The Fort Worth Zoo

One of the really great things about living in the Metroplex area of Texas, is that it’s a very short trip to places in both Dallas & Fort Worth! One such day trip I really love, is The Fort Worth Zoo.

The Fort Worth Zoo has tons of exhibits and lot’s of ground to explore. Here are a few highlights from our recent trip to the Fort Worth Zoo!

Hope you enjoy!

-There are lot’s of fun statues, and rest stops along the Zoo paths that kids can touch interact with.

– One of the first sections of the Zoo is the Primate area. Monkeys, Apes, Orangutans… beautiful!

– A new Museum of Living Art (MOLA) has just opened up. It’s full of reptiles & amphibians in a child friendly environment. Even mommy wasn’t scared of them!

– One baby. One Croc. So close!

-Find a new buddy. My pumpkin did not want to EVER leave this lizards side.

-Most of the animal enclosures make it easy for little ones in strollers, or of short stature to see the animals.

-Please make sure you bring lot’s of sunscreen, and water for both yourself and any babies you have with you. It’s Texas- it’s HOT people!

The Fort Worth Zoo is really wonderful for kids, and worth a trip from across the Metroplex…or across the country! Hope you get to experience it. If you have – I’d love to know what you most enjoy there!

Information on the Fort Worth Zoo can be found here: http://fortworthzoo.org/

awww looks like you guys had such a great time! Molly looks so cute when she’s looking in the glass at the alligator! She looks alittle untrusting of the clear glass, like I’m not gonna look him in the eye just yet! smart girl:) She looks like a total animal lover, and like she’s really into the animals too, maybe she’ll study them or something when she grows up!

I LOVE the Ft. Worth Zoo! I think it’s the best. We lived in Ca. and went to all of the zoo’s there and they don’t even come close to comparing to Ft. Worth. Now we live in Austin and we took our 4 year old to the Austin Zoo for her birthday. We figured if the Ft. Worth Zoo was great Austin should be just as great, right- WRONG! I felt so bad after we left there that we wasted her little birthday at the most horrible zoo I have ever been to. I can’t even begin to tell you how bad it was, it was like a run down petting zoo on miles of rock and gravel! From now on we will be driving to Ft- Worth SOOOOO worth it!

Great pic’s! I love the one of the turtle! Bet your little one had lots of fun!

I avoided it at first because it didn’t seem that fun. Then- because I didn’t know how to do it. But, this year I’m challenging myself to try new things. Even if I look like an idiot! Who cares?! 😃

Bottom line, loved bowling. I suck. But it’s fun! Who knew? Well, lots of people. But now me too! Also- it’s helpful to have friends that make you try new things and expand your horizons. Super grateful for mine! ❤️
