So- one of my biggest challenges in keeping our home life manageable is all the paper clutter that comes in the house!
I get the mail and I feel like I have a pile to go through, and if I don’t do it right away its’ like the pile just builds upon itself until I have A PAPER MOUNTAIN!!
It really bums me out.
3 things that have recently helped me with that “paper problem” are:
1. I learned I could OPT OUT of junk mail! Did you know that?? It doesn’t get rid of everything- but it sure cuts that daily stack down. You just go to the 2 biggest direct marketing associations online- and say no to them mailing to your house! (dmachoice.org)AND (optoutprescreen.com)
2. Secondly we got a good shredder. So as soon as I bring mail in- I see what credit card offers or other junk has our personal info on it- and I shred it right away. (PS. Shredding green construction paper makes good Easter Basket Filler! But that’s another blog…lol)
3. Lastly, I used Manilla to go paperless on most of our bills. I can pay the bills from the website using auto pay- and I never have to have the envelope in my Kitchen!
