Our tradition is to put up Christmas decorations AFTER Thanksgiving. So we will be busy this weekend!
Every year we make homemade ornaments rom different materials for the tree then we all decorate the tree together.
One of our favorite traditions is getting together with friends for an all day baking fest. Moms bake all day and the kids and husbands help decorate the cookies. Then we’re so exhausted we all go out for dinner together.
One of our Christmas traditions is that we go look at Christmas lights and take the kids to see Santa every year.
Every year we have Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve with my mom’s family & have presents there. It’s like the offical start to all the Christmas fun!
Our family all have homemade stockings made from red felt and decorated by “ornaments” cut out of other colored felt and embellished with glitter. Every year if we have a new member of the family, we all get together and make a new stocking.
We always take our kids to the local tree farm and let them pick out the Christmas tree.
Never heard of a Wappy Dog, but I bet my daughter would love one…
One of our traditions is to go to a movie on Christmas Eve and get Chinese food after!
putting up the christmas tree and lights and listening to my favorite christmas songs while my boyfriend makes us a holiday drink, then we sit in the dim christmas lights and toast to another wonderful year together
We always bake cookies for Santa.
All my kids and grandkids meet at my house on Christmas Eve. We eat a big Christmas dinner and exchange gifts. Each of the eleven grandkids, and each of my six children get a stocking from me and hubby. It is my favorite part of the holidays!
We use to have lots of Christmas traditions. My mom and I would bake cookies every year and make up baskets. We still kinda do that, but not together all that much even though we still live in the same house. She’s just gotten too old to do much baking anymore sadly. But, my traditions extend to my office which I decorate every year hopefully adding a bit of joy to my co-workers. And of course there’s the shopping, just love going out and just looking, watching folks especially kids get all wided eyed. Especially love to see my niece get excited for the holidays. She not only gets Christmas, but her birthday is 5 days before Christmas so she gets extra excited. Plus, she too, loves to give and watching her grow up wanting to give to others and make sure little girls other than herself get things that she has is such a joy to see. Oh and how could I forget Hot Chocolate! A favorite Winter/Holiday tradition! In fact I’m about to have my first cup now! 🙂
One of our newest favorite traditions is have a Magical Elf come visit our home for the month of December! It brings the a little bit of Christmas into the house each morning when our daughter looks around the house to see what the Elf did the night before.
One of our Christmas traditions is decorating the tree together and to go to Gigi’s house to make Christmas cookies.
Putting up the christmas tree with all the decorations which have memories
Our tradition is to decorate the tree after Thanksgiving!
Making cutout cookies is something I do every year.
Our tradition is to drive around and look at lights and then go to Olive Garden!
Every Christmas Eve, the entire family gets in their Christmas pajamas and we go out looking at Christmas lights. It’s fun to drive around in pajamas.
One of our traditions is cinnamon rolls for breakfast Christmas morning. The boys love them and it makes the house smell so nice all day long.

The day after Halloween I start bringing out the Christmas stuff. Most of it is up before Thanksgiving. Has always been this way since 1978 !
We always go “hunt and kill” our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving! 🙂
One of my Christmas traditions is to bake cookies with the kids. I had no clue that little boys would love cooking so much and they think that cookie making “is the bomb”. I let them choose what kind of cookies they want to make. I have a few standards that I always make. We go to the dollar store for packaging and we give them for Christmas gifts to the adults, so that out monetary gifts are for the children. My boys have gotten very creative over the years (gingerbread men, sugar snaps, raisin puffs, sugar cookies decorated with icing & xmas characters). Just a lot of fun and memory building.
Our christmas tradition is to fill our angel baby’s stocking with letters from loved ones and read them on Christmas day. I love that she gets to be a part of all the magic on Christmas
