Looking for a fun recipe for New Year’s Eve, or some other adult occasion? Have you thought of taking your kids jello, and giving it a fantastic classy twist? If so, then I suggest checking out this Jello Shots recipe Cosmopolitan flavored! You can use the same recipe to make champagne Jello just by substituting the liquid in this for the same amount of champagne!
That said- I think Cosmopolitan jello is a little more rare, and quite a bit tastier;)
INGREDIENTS:
1½ cup cranberry juice cocktail
½ cup orange flavored vodka
1/4 cup Roses lime juice
1/4 cup Grand Marnier
2½ envelopes plain Knox gelatin (1/2 envelope equals ¾ teaspoon)
Lemon zest for garnish, if desired
COSMOPOLITAN JELLO RECIPE:
In a saucepan, add cranberry & Roses lime juice with gelatin. Allow it soak for a few minutes. Heat on low continually stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved – about 5-7 minutes. Last, stir in both liquors making sure to mix them really well. Pour into a mold or pan( I used an glass 8X8 pan), and chill until set. At least several hours, I chilled mine overnight.
To serve, cut into desired shapes. Garnish with the lime zest. Makes 18 to 24 shots.
But perhaps you are now saying “Shannon, this sounds really easy. But I’m more of a visual learner.”
Well, my right brained friend – there is a video below that should help!
Have a wonderful New Year everyone!
PS. Looking for a more traditional cocktail recipe or two? Check out my post on that!

What a beautiful idea. I might have to make a few of these since we will be celebrating New Years with some adults this year. Thanks for the recipe and great video! Blessings to you and yours, xoxo
Thank you for reminding me of jello-shots, and for giving me a more sophisticated version to try!
