I’ve been super excited about something! But I had to wait until it was official before telling you all about it! It’s also the reason why I had to go get my Texas drivers license so quickly last week!
I’m going to be taking part in a fun blogging experiment with Chevy! I’ll be given a new Chevy Malibu to test drive for a month. Over that month I’ll be sent on “missions ” – to go do things in the car that an average mom or family might do. And then blog about my experience!
I’ll be posting as well as “Vlogging” my experiences in the Chevy Malibu starting sometime next week!
I haven’t gotten the car yet- so no, the picture above is not my Malibu in my strangely vacant, and unexplainably aqua garage! I don’t know what color I’ll be getting yet, although I do love that silver color above- so chic! As soon as I get the car, I’ll be sure to start posting pictures and answering questions!
Speaking of questions, do you you have any? Are there any features of a car that are especially important to you as a woman? As a parent? As a commuter? If so, feel free to let me know what your most interested in hearing about the new Chevy Malibu!
If I use your question in a blog or video, I’ll be sure to put a link to your blog from mine in the post where I answer it! Happy driving!

This sounds like a lot of fun=0) I’ve been trying to figure out what my next car will be. I can’t wait to read about your adventures!
Have a great weekend,
xoxo,
Carol

You lucky lady! awesome! I’d like to know about the room in the back, trunk space for groceries and how easy the surfaces and seats and floors are to clean. =)

OOOOHHH!! That’s awesome!! 🙂 Will it have OnStar?? I’ve always wondered how/if that program works! Can’t wait to read about it!
So cool ~ I’ll stay tuned for your posts!! You’ll have a blast with this!

lol Shan this is so fun!!!! I hope you have a great time with it! If it has one of those magellins that is always a good thing! We have one in the jeep and I always say oh whatever, we don’t need it, and then we end up needing it:)

YAYYYYYYYY So exciting, I love when you vlog cause then I can hear your voice more often:)..
Cars… I like to find a cup holder that can hold various sizes of cups with ease (for my various sizes of thirst!)
I like cars with A/C… frankly I can’t imagine a car without it. Worse in texas!
I’m HUGELY picky about the sound system in my car. My current car rocks rocks ROCKS (and sometimes bounces a lil yes,,, an audiologist is rocking it out)…and if I ever buy a new car I will be taking my Journey Greatest Hits CD with me to the dealership cause nothing will sadden me more than not being able to car-dance:).
Key-fob… In the future I would like a car with an automatic car-starter,, especially in these Buffalo winters it would be nice if it were defrosted and warm before I left the house.
I also LOVE that i can lock/unlock it quickly with my key-fob. The new ones with the keyless entry scare the begeebers out of me.
Finally (cause I have things to do and my brain is fried), I would seriously consider the use of Onstar. I locked myself out of my car twice in the past week and frankly it would have been awesome to not have to wait an hour till the car guy came. I was lucky it happened after I pumped gas at a gas station so I could be inside, but a phone call-unlock would have been much better.
Way to go Shannon!!!!!! : )
Know what I’d like to know about the Malibu? One, are the seats treated with anything so that if one of my kids spills catsup or a drink on it, will it clean up easily?
Does it have the lights on the interior of the car and/or the headlights that stay on after you turn them off, so you can get into your house in light and not dark?
Can you turn off the passenger side airbag in case you have someone in the front seat who would be injured by an airbag?
IS there a trunk release on the inside of the trunk in case the unthinkable happens?
Can three sit comfortably in the back, and do they all have 3 way seatbelt harness?
Does it have fourwheel drive, I don’t know the name of it, but when you are on slippery ice, it kicks on so that you don’t spin out.
Wow. That is so cool! Chevy has been coming out with some great updated models. Of course as a guy I noticed the new 2010 Camaro more than the latest family sedan. You can put a child seat in the back of a Camaro can’t you? LOL. Can’t wait to see how you like it.
This is SO cool! I’d love to do something like this.
My only thing with cars is getting 3 car seat in the back seat. Even most SUVs aren’t big enough. So, in the meantime, I’ll be rollin’ in my hot mini van.
I can’t wait to read all about your “missions.”

Wow what an exciting review!! Can’t wait to hear your reviews. My main thing for cars now is making it child friendly really. I would love to do road trips and my kids’ comfort is most important!

That is so awesome! As soon as I sell my house and move closer to the ‘city’ :-), I’m giving my car to my son and getting a Chevy ‘something’… Looking at the Colbolt(?) my middle son has; but I can’t wait to read your reviews. So excited for you! What a great oppotunity! Have FUN!
