This past week I’ve been having a wonderful vacation at Bay Lake Towers in Disney World! It was a truly unforgettable trip – and one reason was that we didn’t tell my 5 year old daughter we were going until we arrived at the Orlando Airport!
Until we landed in Florida, our daughter was told we were keeping daddy company on a business trip (which we have done before- so it was believable). She bought it hook line and sinker! And her reaction makes me laugh every time.
Here is a video of our surprise on the first day of our trip to Disney, and the end it the finale of the fireworks we watched on our first night! Wishes do come true!

Have you ever surprised the child in your life with a trip or gift that really surprised them? I’d love to hear the details!
Aww… Too Fun!! Reminded me of taking DS at that age… 20++ yrs ago!
Love the surprise! I am torn on if we would want to surprise our kids or let the excitement build up!
Oh my gosh. It almost broke my heart when she started to cry! Then the change in her face – she totally thought you were kidding lol So glad you guys had a great day surprising her!
What an amazing surprise! I’d love to go to Disney with my kids. Someday we will!
What a super awesome surprise!! I wish someone would surprise me with a trip to Disney! LOL!
What a fantastic surprise! She was so excited! I wish I could take my grandkids to Disney.
There is positively no way I could keep that kind of secret from my kids. I would be so giddy with excitement ahead of time that I would let it slip!
awww what an awesome surprise!!!!
Awww how fun is that! We tried to surprise our daughters on their first trip but it went badly. They were overtired and the surprise actually turned into a meltdown of tears.
Ahhh this is so cool! What an amazing surprise!
Well that’s one heck of a surprise. I’d love to surprise mine with that one of these days
Her reaction is so cute, what an awesome surprise!
What an awesome surprise! I’m sure she will have an amazing time!
So cute!
How sweet! I wish I could do this for my girls.
Hahaha! That is too cute. I bet she had a blast. Guaranteed to have a memory to tell her kids about.
OH MY GOODNESS…she is precious!!
Oh, what a wonderful memory for her! (And you!) I love that you were able to pull it off!
I haven’t surprised the kids with a trip yet, but last year we surprised my parents when my sister’s family met us half way on the way to Disney World. The look on my 70 year old father’s face was something I will always remember.
Have a wonderful time!
