Surprising my daughter with a Trip to Disney World!

This past week I’ve been having a wonderful vacation at Bay Lake Towers in Disney World! It was a truly unforgettable trip – and one reason was that we didn’t tell my 5 year old daughter we were going until we arrived at the Orlando Airport!

Until we landed in Florida, our daughter was told we were keeping daddy company on a business trip (which we have done before- so it was believable). She bought it hook line and sinker! And her reaction makes me laugh every time.

Here is a video of our surprise on the first day of our trip to Disney, and the end it the finale of the fireworks we watched on our first night! Wishes do come true!

(If you are reading this post via cell phone or e-reader, you may have to click through to see the video!)

Have you ever surprised the child in your life with a trip or gift that really surprised them? I’d love to hear the details!

There is positively no way I could keep that kind of secret from my kids. I would be so giddy with excitement ahead of time that I would let it slip!

Awww how fun is that! We tried to surprise our daughters on their first trip but it went badly. They were overtired and the surprise actually turned into a meltdown of tears.

Oh, what a wonderful memory for her! (And you!) I love that you were able to pull it off!
I haven’t surprised the kids with a trip yet, but last year we surprised my parents when my sister’s family met us half way on the way to Disney World. The look on my 70 year old father’s face was something I will always remember.

    Have a wonderful time!
