HAPPY ALMOST NEW YEAR’S EVE!!!!
You will be relieved to know – in an effort to bring in the New Year the right way – I harnessed all my inner strength and put away the Christmas decorations!!! So the year will be starting without remnants of the old year still looming. Also, I thought I should devise and research some interesting Champagne cocktails to bring in the New Year!
And because I obviously had to try them out first in a “test run” – my husband and I were forced to have a toast today, at 3:56pm on a random Wednesday while my daughter was napping. Hehe.
It felt deliciously naughty to be drinking champagne before nightfall, and for no apparent reason…I recommend it:)
Now, onto the two cocktail recipes I thought were most deelish:
Ingredients
- 2 ounces chilled apple juice (4 tablespoons)
- 2 ounces chilled cranberry juice (4 tablespoons)
- 6 ounces chilled champagne (12 tablespoons)
- (optional) frozen cranberries, and apple slice to garnishDirections
1. Pour the apple juice into a champagne flute, add cranberry juice. Slowly add champagne. Garnish with apple slice, and frozen cranberries. Serve immediately. Makes 1 serving.
- 2 ounces chilled pomegranate juice or chilled cranberry juice (4 tablespoons)
- 6 ounces chilled champagne (12 tablespoons)
Directions
1. Pour the pomegranate juice into a champagne flute. Slowly add champagne. Serve immediately. Makes 1 serving.
Also, if you would like to have non alcoholic cocktails, both recipes above would be just as yummy with ginger ale as a substitute for the champagne!

Yummy! Also, if you have a Trader Joe's near you they have this drink called Blood Orange juice, it is the juice from blood oranges and it's really good. I like to mix that with champagne too. Happy New Year!
