In my first post about Potty Training I named a few tools that helped us potty train our 28 month old daughter. In this post I thought I’d give you a brief look into how we started our potty training experience.
With a Potty Training Party! Cake might have been involved…
(Enjoying a JUICE BOX! She never gets those!)
The morning we were starting Potty Training, we kicked the milestone off with a party! We threw the diapers away, and then there was cake and juice boxes for everyone! Below is a video of my daughter tossing out the diapers she wasn’t going to need anymore!

The Giveaway- As I told you all in my earlier post there was an E-book that had been recommended to us that outlines the steps to potty training- and we loved it! Well the author of that book, saw the blog post and offered to give one Milk and Cuddles reader a super helpful giveaway! Honestly- I’m totally jealous of whoever wins this!
What You Win- Jamie, the author of “Oh Crap Potty Training” has offered (1) lucky reader a 1 Hour PHONE CONSULTATION with her! You can ask her all the questions you have about your particular potty training situation! Get advice based on exactly where you are in the process! It’s one on one Potty Training Tutoring:) She will also give you (1) free download of her book (if you dont already have it!). So you can get familiar with her approach to potty Training, and be speaking the same “potty language!” Jamie says there is no rush on using the phone consult, so if you aren’t yet at the potty training point – you can save this prize to redeem when you need it.
If your anything like my husband and I were- you want some major hand holding while you try to help your child be successful with this new skill! So… Ta Da!!

We have way too many poop stories around here to share esp. since we did have one child with medically diagnosed poop issues. I am so happy that she is finally getting well and over that hump. However, I am getting geared up to potty train our third girl in a few months and I want this one to be more successful than the other two were!
I would love to win this. We are struggling.
I subscribe.
I follow, but most importantly, I really could use this help! My daughter will be three in May and we have her 1/2 way trained. You know how some people have selective hearing? Well, Kimber is a selective potty user. She will when she feels like it. I know she can do it, but we can’t seem to get her 100% on board. HELP!
Oooooo I definitely want in on this one, we need some help getting started!!!!
I Tweeted about it! 🙂
My best poop story is shortly after Toot was born, I was changing her diaper when she proceeded to poop everywhere (the new diaper wasn’t on yet) and I had no idea what to do so I just covered her with the new diaper saying, “No! Stop! Dear Lord, stopppppppppppppppppp!” lol
We’re gearing up for potty training and I’m totally nervous!
Best poop story…ugh…when C was a week old and still in the NICU I got to change him for the first time in his isolette. You have to put your arms through the holes of the sides to change this teeny tiny baby. Oh, and I’d never changed a diaper in my life! So, I get his diaper off and all of a sudden there is baby poop going every where! He decided to let mom know how he felt about getting his diaper changed!! It kind of scarred me for life 🙂
@Christine, Clearly I didn’t use this comment system correctly, sorry that I replied to you directly.
Came here from momloop! Unless we adopt again, we are WELL past these stages but it sounds like you certainly handled things well! Good job! (she’s adorable!)
I was just looking at her ebook page today. So weird that you posted this up now. It would be cool to win!
I just blogged about your giveaway!

it’s great that your little one is doing well with potty training. i think any parent with a need to learn potty training child would be jumping up and down to consult with your expert.
Oh please, we need help! I’ve begged and bribed, and I’m trying not to turn it into a power struggle, but my son may be the mythical child who does in fact go to kindergarten in diapers!
