I am glad you made it there safely. The Pod looks like a great place to spend a night.
What a cute room. Well not so much cute, as efficient. Reminds me of the train cars my family stayed on when I was a kid traveling from New York to Florida to visit my grandparents.
Why pay for space you don’t need. I love it. Growing up in Europe the rooms with shared baths down the hall were the norm more than the exception. Of course the international hotels catering to American guest all have baths ensuite.
A few I’ve stayed at in the US that were old historic hotels, albeit small rooms with baths down the hall. They included The Mendocino Hotel and the Wawona Hotel in Yosemite National Park.

Wow….I agree with Michael, it does seem a lot like the passenger sleeping cars on trains! Way cool! Hopefully tomorrow’s accommodations will be a little more spacious! Looking forward to more about your Conference experience!

Have heard great things about the pod– have a great time in our neck of the woods! (yes, I’m Jersey- but only 30 min from the city)– the city is great in the summer!
