Do you all watch the Olympics?
Febuary 12-28th will be bringing my personal favorite…The WINTER games. I like the summer Olympics alright, I enjoy the gymnastics….and the opening and closing ceremonies. But the winter Olympics has figure skating, and that has costumes. So really what other sport can compete?
I think figure skating is so enjoyably theatrical. They have sequins, and lighting, and music and… vengeful judges. Add it all up, and it’s my kinda night! Full of talented athletes, but also fun and fantasy.
Speaking of fantasy – below is a depiction of my winter Olympics fantasy. lol.
Picture the scene…
It’s my husband and I. We are the American Ice dancing team. We got a perfect score on the short program, but so did the Russian team!! We are one triple axel away from the GOLD PEOPLE!!!! We must do a death spin, and be perfect on all our lifts. Can we do it??!!!?? Can we bring home the Gold Medal……?????
WE DID IT!! GO TEAM USA!!!!!!!!

I love the winter Olympics too. Can't wait. Did you know I met the downhill ski champion of France? Luc Alphone. I was 16. It was a highlight of my trip. Saw him on TV at the Olympics many years later. Funny!

I love them! Especially the speed skating! It's so fun so sit there and almost have your heart stop for the USA to cross the finish line first!
