I’ve seen this question on facebook lately- and I’ve really enjoyed reading what 15 albums my friends think will always stick with them. I decided to compile my own list. I’d love to know yours! Feel free to share your 15 below, or a link to a post where you list them!
The rules: Don’t take too long to think about it. Fifteen albums you’ve heard that will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes. List in no particular order...
1) Carly Simon: Coming Around Again
2) Tori Amos: Little Earthquakes
3) Billy Joel: Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II
4) Rent: The Official Broadway Soundtrack
5) Sara Mclachan: Surfacing
6) Damien Rice: O
7) Aimee Mann: Whatever
9) The Cabbage Patch Kids : Cabbage Patch Dreams album (I’m being honest!)
10) Les Miserables: The Original Broadway Cast
11) Nichole Nordeman : The Best of Nichole Nordeman
12) Madonna: Immaculate Collection
13) Heart: Bad Animals
14) Cyndi Lauper: She’s so Unusual

15) The Who’s Tommy: Broadway Cast

I would include 3,4,5, and 11 also. DEF.
The others are super fun to see!

@Nikki, Oh yeah!!! I should have added Debbie Gibson’s electric youth album- I GET LOST IN YOUR EYES……..lol
Love this list – especially the Cabbage Patch Kids! 🙂 And Little Earthquakes reminds me sooooo much of that summer in Horseheads! Damien Rice is Brooklyn for me. Great great list 🙂 xoxo
@Laura, Here we are Raime- stuck in this old gold mine, just as sad as we can be….seeems like a long long time, since we laughed and played together- you and me!!!! How I wish that we could fly away! Oh Raime!!!!
🙂
I guess it’s up to you and meeeeeeee (at least I think those are the words haha). I still have the recording of that soundtrack that you made for me. Love it, Love you! 🙂
That brought back some memories. I’m here from your Friday Mom Loop.
The Immaculate Collection by Madonna is definitely in my top ten. I remember singing “Like A Prayer” at the top of my lungs while listening to my waterproof, yellow Sony Walkman. Wow, I’m dating myself because nobody even listens to cassettes anymore. Lol
