What I learned in 30 Days with Curves®

This is what a Curves® looks like when it opens in the morning. Welcoming, not at all intimidating. Airy. Bright. Full of possibilities. But one thing changes pretty quickly, it doesn’t stay empty for long! Soon it gets women from all walks of life working out on it’s machines. Some are chatty, and will ask you if you saw that funny YouTube video? Others will smile but stay silent as they work their hardest at each machine. Some could be your grandmother, some could be your daughter.

When Curves® asked me if I wanted to try out their facility for a month I wasn’t sure what to expect. But what I learned in the past 30 days has surprised me…

Every body type is represented at Curves® – and everybody is welcomed into this ever changing community. You are safe here. It’s a no judgement zone. That’s not just lip service. It’s real.

I’ve learned so much in the last month as I’ve explored all that Curves® has to offer. About myself, about better form while using the Curves® machines. And most importantly about how welcoming a community of women can be.

The coach at my Curves® location, made a point to connect with everyone at some point in their work out – each time I came. Sometimes to give us pointers on getting the most out of a machine. Other times to just encourage us in our journey. When you work out at Curves®.
