These Irish jello cups are dead easy to make with little or no preparation. And their topsy turvy look, gives them the air of a more sophisticated dessert than they actually are! There is just one small trick for making them look slanted in their dishes or cups – and you are in business.
Irish jello snacks are at the ready!
First prepare your jello as indicated on the box. I like a mix of Lime Green and Orange flavors to mimic the colors of Ireland. Then pick out your cups.
Because the fun of this dessert is seeing it appear to defy gravity by being at a slant – you will want a cup or dish that is see through.
Finally – you will want to use a muffin tin and some wet paper towels to places your cups in. Using the wet paper towel will let you snug your cup into a muffin tin opening at a severe slant.
You will want to only use a few muffin tin openings at a time to give your cups room.
Move your tin carefully to your refrigerator. And once it is fully set – your Irish jello will stay at the incline even when sitting straight up!
We like to fill ours with some homemade whipping cream and shamrock sprinkles! Slainte!
