Downtown Arlington is getting to be a really fun destination to visit these days. With walkabilty improvements and lot’s of fun building projects going on – there are more and more choices for a day or night out in Arlington! And one of the really unique businesses that has popped up in downtown Arlington lately – is  Urban Alchemy Coffee & Wine Bar. This hybrid shop let’s you get your caffeine fix in the morning, and then sip some wine later in the day when you want to relax.

Walking into Urban Alchemy Coffee & Wine Bar for the first time – one thing popped into my mind instantly. This is Arlington’s version of “Central Perk” the famed coffee shop from “Friends.” The laid back atmosphere and comfy sofa seating seems ready for this generations Ross and Rachel to plop right down!

I found a seat at the bar, and ordered a Mocha Coffee, and it did not disappoint. But even more impressive was a look through the many other menu options. Breakfast, lunch, and even light dinner options are available. And the next time I stop by it is on my must do list – to try one of their delicious sounding charcuterie boards.

There is even an extensive wine list, and selection of bubbly! Tip…this would be a great place for a causal first date! Or an afternoon meet up with the girls!

I visited in late morning, and there were several people who were busy working on laptops enjoying some sun as it streamed through the mostly glass wall of the shop. Be aware though, that there are limited places with outlets available for plugging in. So if you plan to work, come a bit early to grab a spot by the wall!

Another consideration, is to give yourself a bit of extra time to find parking. The lot has limited parking spots, and we had to park creatively on a neighboring street to avoid nearby buildings that had tow signs up. But the parking challenge was well worth weathering, for the great atmosphere here.  And the strong brews!

Urban Alchemy Coffee & Wine Bar also hosts special events in a private dinning room area of their space. You can book the space for your next book club meeting, or attend an art class while you sip some wine! Just check their event calendar to see what is on the agenda.

I have my eye on a Wine Glass Painting Party they are holding later this month!

If you haven’t ventured into downtown Arlington lately – you are missing some Texas size fun. There are so many fun shops and restaurants opening every week. As well as some great tried and true classics. And I would wager that Urban Alchemy Wine & Coffee Bar is going to be considered a downtown staple very soon! Be sure to check it out, the next time you are in the Arlington, TX area.

And also… order the mocha!

Trust me!

The interior design of the coffee shop is really nice! Seeming the environment is also great! I would love to have a cup of coffee there as it is not so far from my residence. And As I don’t drink alcohol so I would rather choose Coffee.
