The Hilton Anatole is a magically beautiful place to visit anytime. But it really shines during the holiday season. We partnered with the Anatole, and stayed at the hotel this weekend to enjoy Christmas at the Anatole. When we checked into our room, we were greeted by a little Holiday Elf. He must have snuck from the North Pole into Santa’s pack for the ride to Dallas. Santa spends lot’s of time at The Hilton Anatole – and our Elf must have wanted to see what all the fuss was about first hand!
Our daughter promptly named our Elf “Peppermint” and he became our travel buddy for the weekend! Peppermint walked all around the Hilton Anatole with us, and let me tell you – there was no shortage of beautiful holiday decor to see, and fun activities to introduce him too!
Here are some of the highlights from our family’s trip to the Hilton Anatole Christmas…
Going to all new Peppermint Park!
There is SO much to do at the all new Peppermint Park. We barely got to it all! We decorated cookies, went to “Elf School,” Saw the Talking Tree Show. Then we voted in America’s ‘next top’ Penguin show! Rode the train, played games, got photos with Santa, had way too many cups of hot cocoa – and decorated ornaments.
*Peppermint Park Tip* Buy a Memory Maker FunPass Wristband if you plan to spend the evening at the park festivities. That way you won’t have to keep buying tickets. And kids will have a chance to do everything they’d like.
Holiday Movie Night!
Want to slow down and relax after Peppermint Park? “How the Grinch stole Christmas” was being shown while we were visiting, but the featured holiday flick at the Hilton Anatole changes all the time! The floor of the ballroom where the movie is shown, is covered in lounging pillows – and snacks abound.
And don’t forget to wear your pajamas and be comfy!
A look at our the Peppermint Elf Adventures….
Dinner at the Anatole!
There are so many on site dinning options at the Hilton Anatole – but we opted for the one that would allow us to eat in bed! We ordered Room Service and dined on Surf & Turf and Macaroni and Cheese! Dessert was Warm Bread Pudding – and we savored each mouth full, all while Christmas movies played on TV.
Nothing like watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” while you snuggle up and sip a glass of wine. And it was all prepared with the same car as if we had dined in one of the many onsite hotel restaurants like SĒR, Media Grill & Bar, Counter Offer, Terrace or more!
It was perfection!
Breakfast with Santa Clause!
I’m a big fan of Santa Clause, and the only thing that could compare to having breakfast with Santa – is maybe the million choices of what to nosh on. Omelette station anyone? Made to order with whatever ingredients you prefer. So many cereals, yogurts, fruit, baked goods…. it’s overwhelming. And so yummy!
Santa goes to each table to say hello and take photos. Then story time. It’s a wonderful morning of holiday cheer. And our whole family left with a big smile plastered on our face!
*Breakfast with Santa Tip* My husband tells me this is not a secret recipe, because other people already know it. But I haven’t seen anyone else doing this, so let me tell you how to make your coffee at breakfast the best ever! Fill your coffee 3/4 of the way up, and then fill the last part up with hot cocoa.
Both are available at Breakfast with Santa at the Anatole. Your coffee will now taste like a holiday mocha coffee special! You’re welcome.
The Puppet Show at Geppetto’s Workshop!
Geppetto’s Theater is certainly kid approved in our house! Our daughter got PUMPED when she got to see this show, and she’s still laughing days later as she recalls the funny antics between the marionettes! These “puppets” aren’t run of the mill. They are incredibly, and artfully portrayed by theater artists that bring this forgotten art form to life!
Also it might “snow” at the end of the show. And your kids just might squeal with total delight!
Saying Goodbye to the Hilton Anatole…
Saying goodbye to such a magical place can be hard. But when we think back at the great memories we had there, it’s hard not to smile. And when I look at my camera roll and see all the hugs and belly laughs captured – I know our family will always remember our time at the Hilton Anatole. Plus, Peppermint the Elf is coming home with us!
Taking time to just be a family, is never a mistake. And the thing I love most about a Hilton Anatole Christmas, is that is serves as the perfect back drop for a family to do just that! Have time together.
Thank you to the Hilton Anatole Dallas for hosting us at these events, in order to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
