The Perfect Light – Christmas Light Before & After!

I may be about to change Christmas as you know it! Did you know that there is a company that will design the lights on your house for Christmas, install those lights for you, do any fixing of those lights needed during the holiday season, and then… come back in January and take all those lights off for you? They will even store them through the year. Leaving your garage and attic blissfully spacious.

How does one get this amazing service? You do what our family did – you call The Perfect Light. I’m so excited to be partnering with The Perfect Light for this post, in order tell you all about what it’s like to have your Christmas Lights professionally installed.

We love our quirky cottage style home. It has two trees flanking it, and a sloped roof. We adore it – but we’ve never been quite able to figure out how to best decorate it’s asymmetrical roof-line. The lights we put up over the years never seemed quite right, and they took days, and days- to finish putting up.

What it was like when we did our Christmas Lights:

Every Holiday season the same drama played out at our house. The script looks something like this:

Me: We need to put up the lights. And by we, I kinda mean you. I’m afraid of heights.

Husband: Maybe we could just skip it this year?

Me: *Look of shock and horror*

Husband: Ok. I’ll get to it… eventually.

After tons of begging, my sweet husband would eventually drag out a million extension cords, a hodge podge of light strings (some of which actually worked), and an old wobbly ladder. During the installation process many choice words would be said by my hubby as he nearly fell off our ladder every 10 minutes. And there were also lot’s of prayers said by me – as I prayed he would survive our roof!

It wasn’t a pretty scene.

What it was like when The Perfect Light did our Christmas Lights:

First I met with my own lighting professional from The Perfect Light’s Dallas office. Preston asked me about what look I was going for, and what color choices I had in mind. We do multi-colored lights inside the house, so I knew I wanted to try warm white lights on the exterior. But I also wanted a pop of color. I wasn’t sure what color I told Preston’s colleague Holly. So Holly (yes – her real name!) said she would surprise me with the color of my trees if I wanted. I love a good surprise – so I agreed.

One the day of installation: The Perfect Light showed up right on time, and several employees went right into action. They had my entire house lit from top to bottom in just over an hour! Isn’t that amazing? Every twist and turn of the roof-line had white lights, a huge lit wreath was hung on the house, as well as a matching entry way garland and wreath on the side fence. The trees were wrapped in beautiful (surprise!) red mini lights, and the curve of our flower bed had staked lights in the ground. All of it – in under an hour

The crew set a digital timer for me, and cleaned up everything before they left. They even told me that next year will be a faster installation – because when they take the lights down in January, they label every section – and map out exactly where it goes on the house.

Before leaving, Preston made sure I knew that if any bulbs went out, or I needed any help with the lights during the holiday season – I could just call Holly at his office number, and someone would come out and fix them for me!

The Bottom Line: These AMAZING Christmas lights took exactly zero effort on my part! And are 100% mine! And they really and truly thrill me when I look at them. They twinkle and glow in the most magic way. In fact the other day a small child and his mother were walking around our block, and the little boy stopped at our house and started twirling around in circles on our walkway! He giggled and enjoyed the Christmas magic swirling all around him. It made my heart so happy. And it reminded me of what I love most about holiday lights – they bring more joy into the world. And who can’t get behind that?

If you are looking for Christmas light installation by professionals you can trust, with many years of experience – I can’t recommend The Perfect Light enough! They are truly pros at bringing out the unique features in each home they decorate, large or small. Home or business. They have branches all over the state of Texas, and in Denver! Tell them I sent ya!

Wow, they did a great job on your home! Love the concept of this. Wish there was a business that did this in the city where I live.
